John Victor, pictured here in the traditional colonial garb, was Mason's first Mascot. Presenting himself as the embodiment of George Mason, the man, Victor would hype up crowds at sports games, converse with audiences, and as shown in the photo, debate with the referees. Victor remained as George Mason until the introduction of Mason Maniak in 1984.
