This Exhibit will take a close look into the roots of George Mason University, and how it expanded public education for many people throughout Northern Virginia. Not only will this exhibit take a look into the formation of George Mason, but will also analyze how this university evolved from a small branch college into a large campus that embraces a rich student life with school spirit, specifically, Patriots Day and International Day. Throughout this exhibit, we will be utilizing the methods of analyzing digital records, magazines, etc. as well as looking at various sorts of firsthand data and personal accounts from people at this time to better understand how George Mason had a larger influence on the people of Northern Virginia.
