Significant People and Changes to Student Life
The core people of this exhibit are focused on students, faculty, and those who aimed to help transform George Mason into a successful four year university. Before the establishment of this facility, many young adolescents, or those seeking higher education, struggled to find a place to do so, but it wasn't until GMU was established.George Mason provided many people, including students, a place to gain higher education and explore newer opportunities to benefit their future. Not only did George Mason succeed as a place to facilitate people with education, but provided many of its students a place that feels like home. From its early roots to today, Mason has helped foster many fun celebrations, promote diversity and cultural exchange, encouraged student clubs/frats, and even became a place for students to have their voices heard in social movements. This provided students with a sense of belonging, and helped foster a healthy and friendly student environment all around. Not only were students impacted by this, but also faculty and staff. These people worked hard and were committed to transforming Mason into a successful and thriving campus, and focused on student well-being and life. Not only did Mason provide examples of opportunity for staff and students for employment on campus, but also provided a sense of home like they never felt before.
