Conclusion
To conclude this exhibit, I want to reconvey the importance of the people impacted by the campus within this region, specifically the students and faculty that helped transform George Mason into a culturally rich and dynamic institution. The lived experiences of these people provide the fabric of the university's legacy, and celebrated events on campus like Mason Day or International week, emphasizes how the student body embraces its diverse rich environment. The expansion of university life and well being by faculty, and student-led initiatives, helped build a university that values important ideals that focus on the student and staff. Overall, the evolution of George Mason University is rather a story of the people and how their actions contributed to GMU becoming the campus we know and love today. Understanding the people and history behind the campus provides a deeper understanding of the overlooked history of the campus, and shows how success and student life was valued as well outside of academic success.
