Neuroscience Courses Over Time
This is a book that has all the courses and majors offered by the university for that academic year. Here, it was determined that the Neuroscience classes at GMU will be offered starting in 1996-1997, which is when they will be offered under the psychology department.
At this time, only two Neuroscience classes were offered for students to be able to take, and it wasn't until 2009 that more classes were being offered to all undergraduate students, covering both the biology and psychology concentrations.
Neuroscience, Bachelor of Science, was only started to be offered at George Mason University in 2020.
In spring 1997, speakers with different disciplines, but mostly neuroscience, spoke at Krasnow. It was a weekly seminar series, with discussions following the speakers. Overall, discussing the new classes that will be offered at GMU.
The seminar will enable all individuals to be able to learn about cognitive study, behavioral concern, and the study of memories. Overall, encouraging students to learn the Neuroscience curriculum and become a part of the Krasnow Institute.
An approval form for a neuroscience writing intensive course to be offered in Fall 2008, the form was done on 12/12/2005. The course title is "Neuroscience Seminar." Showing the start of Neuroscience classes being added to GMU courses as a seperate course instead of being under the Psychcology and Biology departments.
A proposal for a writing-intensive course that addresses current topics in neuroscience, but it is under the psychology department instead of the science department. This was in 2009, 3 years after neuroscience became a major.
