Description
Instead of creating a full-fledged branch college of NOVA, an extension center was established with the emphasis on adult education and college-level instruction. It was fought for and approved in 1949, with organized classes beginning in 1950. By 1952, the center grew by 79% in enrollment, showcasing a strong desire for higher education in the region.
