Title

The estimate cost of George Mason Statue building

Subject

The initial estimated cost for building the George Mason Statue as new idea and tradition to boost the George Mason school spirit

Description

In 1989, when the idea for the George Mason statue was formally introduced by the Student Government, the initial estimated cost for the project was projected to be between $30,000 and $50,000. This estimate reflected the students' original vision for a modest yet meaningful monument to their university’s namesake. The plan included a commemorative plaque recognizing donors who contributed $500 or more, and the Student Government hoped to raise the full amount over a five-year period through campus fundraising efforts.
