Robert Krug, then acting as Dean, cited in an oral interview that Dr. Shea had changed the course material for his philosophy class from Plato's "Republic" to "Man Child and the Promised Land" by Claude Brown which reflected Dr. Shea's personal beliefs. Dr. Shea also adopted a self-grading policy
