A Shift at Mason

Entering the 2020s, George Mason University is continuing their high acceptance rate and high number of applicants. This is a major change from just a few decades ago when they were considered a small college in Northern Virginia. With this increase in students, we see the way protests occur change, as well. Throughout 2023, students across the country were outraged against both the U.S and their universities roles in the genocide of Palestinians. This photo displays when GMU students were protesting when President Biden came to campus.
