Describes intitial challenges in student engagement as well as problems among the student body at Geroge Mason Unviersity.

Students began forming clubs and organizations on Campus, as well as forming Greek life, notable events was for example the Spring Formal.

Around this time, the Agora society was formed, a group dedicated to the the arts and various cultural preservations. They hosted their first stage play in 66, and first adaptation screening in 1967-68

The beginning of new campus activites and clubs that began to foster school spirit and started the celebration of George Mason Day.

Around Fall of 1968, the campus formed Patriots Day. This was a fun way for students to engage in various activties with fellow colleagues through barbeques, chariot races, etc. all in the name to foster student productivity and campus spirit.

In 1989, when the idea for the George Mason statue was formally introduced by the Student Government, the initial estimated cost for the project was projected to be between $30,000 and $50,000. This estimate reflected the students' original vision…

The first GMU childcare facility, 'Hourly Child Care Inc' opened on Fairfax Campus on Ox RD.

Concerns regarding licensing, sanitation and child care treatment arose causing 'Broadside' to launch a story about complaints filed. Followed up by the HCC informing the facility that they needed to obtain a license, regardless of if they believed…

The facility finally was distrubted a license by the Department of Welfare and Institutions of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
