After 14 years as the George Mason Men's head basketball coach, Jim Larranaga leaves the university to be the head basketball coach at the University of Miami.

Paul Hewitt is named as the new Men's basketball coach replacing Jim Larranaga.

After four years and and a 66-67 record, George Mason University has released Paul Hewitt from his contract. The Patriots finished the 2014-15 season at 9-22 and never made it to the NCAA tournament with Hewitt at the helm.

Dave Paulsen is hired as the head coach of the George Mason University basketball team. Paulsen coached the previous 7 years at Bucknell, where he totaled 134 wins in that time.

Shaka Smart leaves VCU to become the head coach at the University of Texas. Coach Smart finished his 6 years at VCU with a record of 163-56 taking the team to the Final Four in 2011.

After two seasons in Chattanooga, Will Wade is hired to replace Shaka Smart at VCU.
