Description
In 1997, GMU and Dominos Pizza partnered for a naming contest for their, at the time, nameless mascot. This mascot would later become known as Gunston, but was suggested to have almost been named Green Machine, Gunner, and Wild Thing. This source gives a lot of student opinions on the new mascot, as well as the potential names.
