The Joseph Gurfein, director of planning at GMU, received massive waves of student backlash after creating a plan to replace the Campus Ministry office with an office for the new Minority Affairs program. This plan was not final, and the Campus Ministry chaplain was on board with it, but nonetheless received heavy student criticism upon its announcement.
