Disability Inclusion At George Mason
Subject
Conversation Between Students At A Cafe Table
Description
Socially, exclusion of individuals with disabilities at George Mason University has had significant impacts. For example, students with disabilities often face challenges in participating in extracurricular activities, such as clubs or campus events, due to a lack of social inclusion. Additionally, there have been instances where students with disabilities, like AnnCatherine Heigl, experienced rejection from social organizations, such as sororities, which further highlights the barriers to full social integration. These experiences not only affect the individuals involved but also reflect broader societal attitudes toward disability inclusion on the Mason Campus. More importantly issues include raising awareness about disabilities and fostering inclusive environments has contributed to Mason's diverse Campus.
