Private Solomon Crist and Company K, 55th Pennsylvania Infantry, part of the Union Tenth Corps, had just relieved the Eighteenth Corps on the Bermuda Hundred Line.</text>

<text>This black-and-white photograph, titled "Corporate Board 3," features a notable gathering of George Mason University leadership, including Dr. Maurice Sherrin, Dr. Donald Mash (on the left), President Dr. George Johnson, Dr. Martha Turnage, Dr. David King, and Dr. Wade Gilley. Captured by photographer Tim Harrison during the 1980s, this image documents a significant period of collaboration and governance at the university. The photograph was taken around the time when new facilities were completed and opened, enhancing student life and enabling larger events and community engagement. Part of the George Mason University Broadside photograph collection, this group portrait is a vivid example of social documentary photography, emphasizing the collaborative spirit that characterized the university's leadership.
