So I decided to go near where I heard it which was near Washington Lot. I saw a black shadow but I blinked and it was gone. Ever since I try to not go near the Washington lot at night. Every few nights I’ll see a sort of shadow near the wood part of presidents park at night but I just look down and walk. This opinion piece emerged as the author beleived this decision to be unjust after the BOV had previosuly rejected the hiring of an LGBTQ+ councilor that would have only cost the University $15,000. The BOV claimed there was not a "demonstrated need" for the councilor, but the author of the opinion piece argued that GMU had not embraced its NCAA and CAA sports, so the designation of $50,000 dollars to a club sport did not appear to be a "demonstrated need" either.
